Grantham Journal letter: Action is needed to re-think decision

EMAS are recruiting up to 80 frontline staff to cope with increased demand.
EMAS are recruiting up to 80 frontline staff to cope with increased demand.

When faced with a public outcry and a 13,000 signature petition against closing our ambulance station, why does a large expanding area like Grantham keep getting pushed aside with previous assurances ignored?

East Midlands Ambulance Service must be made to again recognise the necessity of an ambulance station due to Grantham’s position road-wise.

Maybe the next step for Last GASP (Grantham Ambulance Station Protest) should be a march from the ambulance station to the Guildhall?

Thanks should go to the Mayor of Grantham (Ian Selby) for pursuing this very necessary cause.
