Grantham Journal letter: Audiences deserve some applause

We at St Barnabas Hospice, Grantham are thrilled to announce that this year’s pantomime audiences at the Guildhall have once again been extremely generous during the intervals.

The have surpassed amounts raised in previous years – with the total this year being £1,755.58 for the hospice.

Also, we would like to extend our very grateful thanks to the Guildhall and Polka Dot Academy for their continued support in allowing us to hold collections over the years.

Our grotto was also extremely well supported and would like this opportunity to thank everyone who made it possible, including Hilary and her team from The George Centre for their very kind support, help and assistance; Kaberry’s of Lincoln who donated the grotto; everyone who came along and supported; all the volunteers who helped; and to Yorkshire Bank who are match-funding the total raised, which was a fantastic £1,149.

Also, a very big thank you to Hilary from The George for nominating the hospice to receive the stallholders stand fee from the Christmas weekend, which raised a wonderful £1,200.

Donations such as these really do make a huge difference to patients and their families who are living with a life-limiting illness in our local community.
