Grantham Journal letter: Feature was a joy to read

It was great to see the feature on the artist F W Scarborough on page 66 of the Grantham Journal last week.

One of the very first auctions I catalogued at Goldings in 1989 had one such marine scene in it consigned from Melton. I have seen so many of his paintings that remain in local collections since then and in virtually every case the owners did not realise the value or importance of their under-insured family heirlooms.
