I read with interest that work on the new cinema is to start in July.

Yet another of Grantham’s white elephants to follow the Market Place fiasco which has created nothing but parking confusion and less stalls, the George Centre which must be the most expensive short cut in England and the Inner Relief road which creates problems and relieves nothing.

Anyway, back to the cinema, or should I say, entertainment quarter with its offices and cafes. Do we really need more cafes ?

Are they really going to knock down a purpose built part of the town hall to create “an attractive pedestrian walkway” whatever that is?

Just one more thing, why is our bypass taking four years to build when the whole 125 miles of the M25 was built in three, but then, this is Grantham, isn’t it.
