Grantham Journal letter: Parking issues did not exist years ago

In reply to last week’s letter about street parking.

I find the writer’s attitude to the parking problems hereabouts rather selfish.

When I moved here 18 years ago, there were nowhere near as many cars parking here as there are today, which is probably the case for other terraced streets.

The writer is fortunate that they could afford to move elsewhere so that they don’t have this problem. I wish I could afford to do so also, but that may never be possible.

Luckily, the children are on school holidays at the moment so it’s actually easier to park.
