Grantham Journal letter: Roads need to be priority

Have your say

I have often wondered what makes Lincolnshire highways tick.

I noticed that they have recently re-tarmacked perfectly good footpaths along Bridge End Grove and Pasture Close.

These pavements were fine, no problems. Meanwhile, the roads remain a mess.

The joke is our highways heroes would have had to walk past a large pothole on the Primrose Way junction.

Could they not have thrown a couple of shovels of tar into it to cure the problem?

“No gov, that is a road budget issue, we are on a footpath budget.”

Is it me?
