Grantham Journal letter: Thank you to all who support us

The Grantham Volunteer Dementia Support team would like to thank Manageress Vicky Beale and her staff at the Grantham Branch of Bon Marche, the models Lynn Frampton, Wendy Long, Janet Howbrook, Sarah Manterfield, Tracey Beale, Stephanie Strickland, and Kelly Oswin, the photographer Pat Warne, and all those who attended the in-house Fashion Show on Tuesday September 22.

The princely sum of £292 was raised from the ticket sales and raffle.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Eden House Hotel for providing the venue and meals for the monthly Lunch Club, Greyfriars Community Centre for continuing to provide the venue for the monthly Carers’ Group, The George Centre for providing the venue for the weekly Drop-In Information Stand, Newton House for assisting us with continued training, and Lincolnshire Community Voluntary Service for providing DBS checks and required information.

Thanks must also go to all those volunteers, and individuals who have offered support to enable us to keep all our services going since we became a Community Group last year.

All funds raised from events are used on our running costs, a local donation to Research into Dementia being carried out at Nottingham University, and the purchase of relevant books on dementia for Grantham Library.

The GVDS team - Val Newton, Beryl Gibbs, Janet Leeson, Ann Spriggs, Rose Sharpe, and Bridget
