Grantham Journal letter: Verges outside Tesco are a mess!

I am disgusted by what I see on the junction of Harrowby Lane with Keats Avenue, where Tesco is.

Grass verges on both sides are a complete and utter mess. All that has been done is to just put top soil on both sides – while it’s raining. The verges are soaking wet through and mud is all over the entire path and road.

Cars, vans and lorries are still parking on the grass verges on both sides.

So I say to Lincolnshire County Council’s highways department, instead of putting top soil down, why don’t you put a Tarmac and concrete lay-by in place?

Plus, there is some land next door to Tesco which could be used as an extra car park.

The grass verges outside the Co-op at the top of Princess Drive are also bad.
