Colin Duller sent in the above photo of The 16th Independent Company, The Parachute Regiment (Lincoln TA).

These men and Mr Duller belonged to the Grantham Platoon based at The Barracks in Sandon Road. Mr Duller was a member between 1956 and 1960.

Each year they parachuted on Lincoln Common and went on camps to Wales and Norfolk, having to complete eight jumps a year to qualify for their £20 bounty.

He believes the photo at RAF Spitalgate Airfield was taken in 1968. At the back, from left, are Pts Jim Davidson, Bob Perrin, Peter Beard, Sammy Wells, Pte Evans, and Colin Woods.

In front is Pte Eels, Pte Oaks, Pte Dave Wells and Pte Bronc Tilford. If you have more details of the names let us know.
