Grantham Journal Memory Lane: Search is on for rightful owner of photograph

Do you recognise an ancestor?
Do you recognise an ancestor?

Could these be the faces of your ancestors?

Well if your ancestors lived in Westby, a hamlet south-east of Grantham, then it is very possible.

The photo was found in the attic of the home owned by outgoing mayoress of Grantham Anita Selby.

She believes the happy couple are the son and daughter-in-law of John Scarborough, and that the picture was taken outside an old farmhouse in the hamlet.

Anita would like to see the photograph go back to the family. If you know anything about the photo, or believe those pictured may be related to you, then call the Journal on 01476 541428 and we will pass your details on.
