Grantham man arrested on suspicion of wounding following assault on Saturday night

A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Grantham on Saturday night.

Police were called to the junction of Huntingtower Road and Harlaxton Road at 8.12pm following reports of a disturbance involving two men.

A 26-year-old man was injured during the incident and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, where he remains today for treatment. A 47-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries. The investigation continues.
