Grantham market will not take place on December 27

There will be no Grantham Saturday market on December 27 as most traders have chosen not to set up on that day.

Grantham market will resume on January 3 after they take a break for the festive period.

Most traders at Grantham and stamford have chosen not to trade between Christmas and New Year due to the delays in supplies with the bank holidays falling in the days before the usual market.

The last markets of 2014 will take place this Saturday, December 20.

SKDC’s Venues and Facilities manager Paul Stokes said: “The decision not to run markets on December 27 followed consultation with traders. Customers can look forward to the wide range of traders returning to Red Lion Square in Stamford and Westgate in Grantham in the New Year. We wish all traders a Happy Christmas and wish them well for trading in 2015.”
