A Grantham mother has admitted dishonestly receiving more than £19,000 in benefits after failing to notify a change of circumstances.

Diane Selby, 31, of Barrowby Gate, admitted three counts of dishonestly failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances, namely she was living with a man as husband and wife, which she knew would affect her entitlement to Income Support, Tax Benefit and Housing Benefit. The offences took place between July 2012 and May 2014.

Magistrates adjourned the case until August 3 for a probation report. The court was told the defendant had no previous convictions.
