Grantham path to close for resurfacing works

Resurfacing work will take place on a Grantham town centre footpath next week.

The path in Wharf Road, between the London Road and Brewery Hill junction, will be closed during the works, which are expected to take four days to complete, subject to weather conditions.

Work begins on Monday and will be carried out by contractor Kier.

Mark Heaton, area highways manager for Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The works are being carried out during the evening and overnight to minimise disruption to both the public and affected businesses.

“Pedestrians will need to use the adjacent footway during the works, but access to properties will be maintained.”
