Grantham hit by power cuts
A number of areas in Grantham are being hit by power cuts.
Residents are reporting power cuts in the town centre, Springfield Road and Harrowby Road areas among others. There have also been reports from Gorse Lane and the village of Stroxton.
Western Power Distribution says it hopes to have supplies back by 1.30pm.
The company says 225 properties are affected.
A number of shops in the town centre are also believed to be affected.
The cuts have also affected the doctors' surgery on St Peter's Hill. Practice manager Catherine Dickinson said: "The power cut in Grantham today is affecting St Peter's Hill Surgery, which is having an impact on telephone and computer systems, making it difficult to see patients as access to medical records is restricted. We are asking patients to bear with us, whilst the electricity companies deal with the issue."
