The stars are awarded to young people that have shown acts of good citizenship.

Each recipient is nominated by their class teacher and the names and citations are forwarded on to Lez who produces the sought after badges and certificates.

President Maggie said: “It is an absolute joy to go into these schools and meet the young people and give them these well deserved awards.

“It is lovely to have a village school involved and reading the citations for the awards is very moving.

“They have all been wonderful in their own way and such acts of kindness and dedication are really nice to see.”

Lez added: “It is a wonderful project.”
