Ambitious expansion plans have been unveiled by a Grantham company as it celebrates its first year in business.
RecruitMe, based in The George Centre, in High Street, was founded by armed forces veterans Howard Rudder and Chris Buck who have worked hard to build up the recruitment agency.
Now the business employs five staff with plans to double that number this year.
The firm works with some of Grantham’s leading businesses as well as national and multinational companies that have operations in the town.
Mr Rudder said: “In our first year, growth has far exceeded our plans.
“As well as providing recruitment services to Grantham businesses we are partnering with leading national UK businesses based in Birmingham, Leicester, Lincoln, Leeds, Manchester, Bristol and London.”
He added: “This is well ahead of our business plan in terms of geographical growth and reach.
“We are pleased that we have hit our targets for our first year.
“We have doubled the number of employees in our first year and plan to do the same in our second year. We will continue to use Grantham suppliers to support our business as we’re keen for our roots to remain in Grantham.
“We knew the first year would be tough and we started very much on our own with little support or guidance. It can be very mentally exhausting for you as you never really turn off and you families have to make sacrifices.
“It’s really important to learn by the things that don’t go to plan, stick to your goals, to persevere and to stay positive.”
Other achievements include being a commercial partner of Grantham Town FC, gaining their first FTSE 100 client, making a pledge to the Corporate Covenant, and being awarded the Government’s Bronze Award in recognition of their commitment to the Armed Forces community.
Mr Rudder said: “It has been a hugely successful year for us, one of the highlights were to be the winner of a New Business Excellence Award in November 2015 and we have been nominated for several awards at the Grantham Journal Business Awards.”
