Grantham ROCK appeal: Can you take on a moggie?
Grantham Rescue of Cats and Kittens (ROCK) has been very busy over the summer with lots of cats and kittens being handed in.
Every pen is full, leading to an urgent appeal for families to come forward and offer a home.
Cath Rowson runs ROCK from her home in Redcross Street. She said: “It has been very hard work to cope with them all, finding food, litter and to pay vets’ bills.
“We still have a few kittens to home and cats of every colour from six months old. All cats are neutered before they leave here, and we can also help owners with neutering.”
Donations of food would be greatly appreciated – these can be either placed in donation bins in Morrisons or Kennelgate in London Road, or left on Cath’s doorstep at 41 Redcross Street. Towels and blankets would also be welcome (no pillows or quilts please).
To adopt a cat, call Cath on 01476 571636. For more information, or to make a cash donation, visit www.granthamrock.co.uk
Fearn: A tabby female, aged a year to 18 months. She came in as a stray. She is very shy at first so she needs someone who lives alone or a family with older children. She could be rehomed with another cat, no dogs.
Lucky: A black, one-year-old female. She is very friendly and loves to play. She could live with another cat but no dogs.
Cilla: A semi-long-haired tabby/white girl, aged around 10 months old. She is very friendly and likes lots of fun. She cannot be rehomed with dogs and doesn’t like other cats.
Jake: A black and white boy, aged five months. He loves everyone and could be rehomed with a faily that has another cat and older dogs.
Oliver: A ginger and white boy aged 10 months old. He is another friendly cat and would soon settle into family life. He cannot be rehomed with dogs.
Rose: An eight-month-old tabby/white girl who deserves a new start in life after being found as a stray. She is loving and could be rehomed with another cat, but no dogs.
