MASTER technician Adrian Bellamy is off to Paris after proving himself to be the top Nissan mechanic in the entire country.
Adrian, of Newport Avenue, Grantham joined all the other master technician in the country in heading to Watford for a series of theoretical and practical tests of his skills.
He was told he had ranked in the top 30 nationwide and was invited up to Sunderland for the awards presentation - where he discovered he was number one.
Adrian, 28, said: “I was surprised to be honest and proud as well. It took a few minutes to sink in.”
Adrian has been with Crystal Nissan in Dysart Road since leaving school. He will head to France to spend a week in Paris in October where he will take part in more theory and practical tests with the aim of being crowned Nissan’s top European master technician.
If he finishes in the top three he will be invited to Japan to compete against the best technicians in the world.
Rob Bachelor of Crystal Nissan will be heading to Paris with Adrian.
He said: “It’s a recognition for Adrian’s effort and we are going to bask in that same light as well.”
