A successful May Ball held at St Wulfram’s has raised money for the church choir.

Fr Stuart Cradduck, rector of St Wulfram’s, said the ball had proven even more popular this year with guests, who have helped to raise about £2,000 for the church choir to go to St David’s Cathedral, where they will sing during a week’s stay in the summer.

Fr Stuart said: “It was a wonderful night, with more people than last year. We are very grateful to everyone who gave of their time to make this fabulous event happen, and we look forward to it happening again next year!”

The band Morrissey & Marshall entertained on the night. They released their first album this week, on the 50th anniversary of the release of Beatles’ album Sergent Pepper.
