Asda in Grantham is supporting 2014 Christmas Jumper Day in aid of Save the Children.

The store is stocking George’s range of Save the Children Christmas jumpers for men, women and children. The exclusive range is available to buy and will help Save the Children transform more children’s lives around the world.

Colleagues at the store will be wearing jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day on Friday (December 12), when everyone will be asked to donate £2 to the charity, or £1 for children.

This year the government will match every Save the Children donation, pound for pound. Now in its third year, Christmas Jumper Day has raised £1.6million to date.

Store manager Dean Parker said: “Last year we raised hundreds of pounds through our Christmas Jumper Day appeal but we want to smash that amount this Christmas. Our colleagues are getting ready to don the wool and lead the way, I hope our customers will join in the fun and support this great charity.”
