One of those involved is Maggie Welton, a Sunrise Rotary member who already teaches English conversation classes at the Jubilee Life Centre on Tuesday lunchtimes.

Maggie said: “With the classes and with these new sessions, it is all about building people’s self-esteem and confidence - giving them the confidence to apply for jobs they thought they couldn’t do.”

The new sessions are for anybody aged 18 and upwards, and are available on an appointment basis. To book a place, pop into the Jubilee Life Centre on London Road or call centre manager Nicci Whittaker on 01476 565117.
