The Big Town Quiz was held by Grantham Sunrise Rotary Club at St Wulfram’s Church on Thursday evening, and it proved to be a huge success.

The quiz night was attended by over 100 people including some well known people all pitching their brains against each other.

There were 15 teams in all, and the evening began with a Ploughman’s meal and refreshments from the bar, before launching into the seven-round competition which was very closely run throughout, and finally won by a local team called the ‘Code Breakers’, who walked away with the title and a case of bubbly.

President Ian Brodie said: “This was an extremely successful event that was well received. It involved all the members of our club, and we have raised nearly £1,000 for local charities. Our thanks must go to Father Stuart for letting us have St Wulfram’s as the venue; we will definitely be holding this event again next year.”
