Twelve teams are set to compete in a 12 hour ten-pin bowling marathon to raise money for the air ambulance.

Colin Hayes has organised the event to take place at Grantham Bowl overnight on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, starting at 11pm. There will be at least 48 people taking part with each team raising a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.

As well as the bowling there will also be entertainment and stalls. On saturday night there will be entertainment from Nick Brooks and Karen Guest. There will also be a cup cake stall raising more funds for the charity and an air ambulance stall as well as a raffle.

There will be further entertainment on Sunday afternoon between noon and 3pm with music from Aron Fender and a Shakin’ Stevens tribute act.

Colin, a bus driver, said he chose the charity because he had seen the air ambulance in action several times while driving. He said many people were happy to donate to the charity.

Colin would like to hear from any businesses or individuals who would like to donate prizes to the raffle. They can call him on 07950 893547.
