A Grantham woman has raised £1,450 for cancer care after having her head shaved.

The money is still coming in after Lucy Williams underwent her Brave the Shave cut at Avanti Hair Studio in Westgate. The money is raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Lucy said: “I would like to thank Sarah who shaved my hair and the owner Gianni.”

She added: “My father had cancer 20 years ago and fortunately he survived it. There are too many people out there who are affected by it.

“I am hoping to raise more money. Everybody has been very supportive.”

“It was incredible. We had quite a few people come into Avanti just to see me getting my head shaved.”
