Growing Grantham company is poised to create 100 jobs

One hundred jobs are to be created by a Grantham company over the next year.

The Inchora Group is expanding its Tenant Shop business by setting up its first call centre in the town.

The centre will be based in St Peter’s House, in St Peter’s Hill, and will be officially opened on Monday.

It will initially house Tenant Shop’s existing 50 Grantham employees, who are moving from their current premises in Finkin Street.

The company is also planning to create another 100 jobs in Grantham over the next 12 to 18 months by accelerating the growth of its other companies.

The call centre will be on the third and fourth floors of the building, which is also the home of the Grantham Journal.

Tenant Shop, which has been based in Grantham for more than five years, helps tenants and letting agents manage utilities such as gas, electricity, TV and broadband.

Tenant Shop says its aims to provide the best choice in the available market, saving tenants time and money using the latest technology to notify local councils, water suppliers and energy providers of new and vacating tenancies.

Steve Whatley, group chief executive of Hampshire-based Inchora, said: “We looked at a number of sites but it was always our desire that we could expand our operations in Grantham, so the launch of the call centre is an extremely exciting time for Inchora.

“We are focused on delivering support services to our new and growing businesses in order to help them maximise their potential and the call centre provides an important way for our companies to accelerate their growth.

“Tenant Shop is a perfect example of how we can work with businesses to achieve this and Grantham is a fantastic location for our first larger scale UK call centre operation.”

Mayor of Grantham, Councillor Jacky Smith, will officially open the Grantham Call Centre, on Monday.
