GRANTHAM is getting behind the London 2012 Olympics with a film, photograph and audio exhibition of the Torch relay through the town last month.

The exhibition is free to view and goes on show today (Friday), timed to coincide with the official opening of the Games in London.

It will be in the Guildhall Arts Centre, and the centrepiece is 12 minutes of video footage showing the Torch leaving Belton House and moving through the town centre, filmed by Grantham firm CWM Studios. The display also includes hundreds of photographs, audio recordings and the Journal’s extensive coverage.

Leader of the Council Linda Neal called the exhibition a “fantastic record of a great day in Grantham’s history”.
