Harlaxton Road in Grantham closed this morning for repairs

Harlaxton Road in Grantham was closed at the railway bridge this morning.

Anglian Water says the road was closed overnight to repair a number of manholes.

The road was completely cut off at the railway bridge with a line of traffic cones and road signs in place.

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “Our teams have completed repairs to a small number of damaged manhole covers on Harlaxton Road in Grantham, near the junction with the A52 Wharf Road roundabout.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this work has caused, and we’d like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding while we completed these vital repairs.”

The road was reopened this morning at about 10am.
