A service which delivers emergency supplies of blood is looking for volunteers.
The Lincolnshire Emergency Blood Bikes Service (LEBBS) is holding an open day on October 12 at Arion Training, Unit 10, The Point, Lions Way, Sleaford.
Potential riders or controllers are invited to go along to find out what is involved.
LEBBS is a charity organisation run solely by volunteers delivering blood, plasma, samples, breast milk and other supplies free of charge for hospitals within the county of Lincolnshire. It has been operational for approximately 18 months and in that time has completed in excess of 150 runs covering over 5000 miles.
A spokesman for LEBBS said: “We are always needing additional riders and controllers, along with publicity. The purpose of the open day is to encourage more of the same.”
