NEW breast cancer care facilities are set to come to Grantham Hospital.
United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, the organisation which runs Grantham Hospital, announced this week plans to develop four purpose built clinical examination rooms as well as bringing in new diagnostic facilities which will mean women can have a mammogram and ultra-sound at the hospital.
Jane Hervey, Matron of Surgical Services at Grantham Hospital, said: “The development of the new facilities at the hospital is really great news.
“It will be nice for all of our breast patients to be able to visit a centralised unit that is dedicated to breast cancer care.”
The work on the new facilities began in December and will not be completed until later next year.
