There are still tickets left for a charity dinner tonight (Thursday, June 11) raising money for orphans left homeless after the earthquakes in Nepal.

New Era restaurant on Westgate and the Grantham Business Club have organised the evening in aid of The Surya Children Welfare Service Center in Jawalakhel. The orphanage has close links to Geeta Gest, Nepali-born owner of the Grantham restaurant.

Although the charity night was previously sold-out, some last minute cancellations means that there are still places left.

The event starting at New Era at 7pm tonight is a three course set menu with a glass of prosecco on arrival, costing £22.95 per head with 100 per cent of the ticket price donated directly to the orphanage. There will also be a raffle and auction in aid of the cause.
