A thrilling tale by Robert Louis Stevenson is brought to the Guildhall stage on Wednesday (February 5).

An adventure tale for all the family, Kidnapped tells the story of Davie Balfour as he survives shipwreck and
murder to dramatically escape to the Highlands of Scotland.

Set against the fierce social and political backdrop of 1750s Scotland, this gripping, fast paced adventure story is packed full of physical storytelling and imagination.

Adapted by emerging playwright Ivan Wilkinson, the Sell a Door Theatre Company launches its 2014 season with this highly imaginative re-telling of Stevenson’s classic story.

Numerous film and TV adaptations have been made of the book including the big screen versions starring Michael Caine in 1971 and
Peter Finch and Bernard Lee in 1960.

Tickets cost £12/£10 concessions and £8.50 for students and schools. The show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available by calling the Guildhall box office on 01476 406158 or by visiting www.guildhallartscentre.com
