Desperate that his late mother’s beloved piano is not turned to scrap, Stephen Hewerdine is asking for anyone that can give it a good home to get in touch.

His mother Doris who passed away in Febuary last year, also played the trombone, euphonium and sang with the Salvation Army. Stephen (pictured) has kept the Heins and Co piano and stool with the many sheets of music his mother collected over the years, but is now forced to part with it due to downsizing from his Hamilton Road home.

He said: “It just seems such a shame for the piano not to be used again. I don’t want anything for it, just for it to be of use to a family or perhaps a children’s or elderly people’s group.

If you have a place for the piano, call Stephen on 07583 027275
