The first Howzat Charity festival will be held at Grantham Cricket Club, in Gorse Lane, this Sunday (July 19).
From 11.30am, Lincolnshire County Cricket Club will play against Cambridgeshire for the Minor Counties Championship.
After that there will be a music festival commencing at 4.30pm with performances from brilliant local acts such as Octovox, Premier Cru, Dennis Hannant , X-Factor’s Nicole Lawrence and others.
Other activities include a bouncy castle, funfair and roundabout for children, along with free cricket coaching for all ages.
To make sure nobody goes hungry, a hog roast, hot dogs, burgers, cakes and popcorn will be served.
Adding to this, there will be a beer tent, bar and tea will also be available.
The local charities that will benefit from the event are the St Barnabas Hospice in the Hospital, the St Wulfrum’s Spire Appeal and the Rotary campaign against Child Slavery.
All of the charities benefit the local area and help people of the community and beyond.
Advance tickets cost £10 per adult, £5 per child, or £25 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children).
Tickets on the door cost £12 per adult, £6 per child and £30 for a family ticket.
