I too am concerned about the new-build at Priory Ruskin Academy.
As a resident of Highcliffe Road we see our road used as a rat-run for parents in their cars wishing to avoid Manthorpe Road and the subsequent traffic backlog which frequently occurs.
They often travel along this particular stretch of road at considerable speed and do not consider the implications of such in a residental area.
I was informed that local residents have been engaged with plans and invited to coffee mornings – as someone who lives not 500 yards away from the school, may I suggest this has been selective engagement?
I support the plan for an extra route into the school, but cannot imagine parents travelling to North Parade when they live around the Alma Park area.
The site should ideally involve liason with somewhere like St John’s Church to utilise the car park – I am sure the church could use an injection of cash.
