Iceland to open Grantham store next week

Iceland has confirmed it will open its new Grantham store on Tuesday.

The frozen food retailer has taken over a unit on the Augustin Retail Park, formerly occupied by Poundworld. Iceland announced in October that it would be opening a store in town after it bought 19 of the former Poundworld stores.

Twenty-five jobs have been created.

Iceland has existing stores in Melton, Sleaford and Newark and a spokesman for the company said: “Grantham is an obvious gap in our network."
