In court: Grantham area defendants brought before magistrates




Grantham area defendants brought before the courts recently include:

Amanda Erika van Wyk, 42, of Barrowby Road, Grantham: admits causing harassment, alarm or distress using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Grantham on Boxing Day last year. She was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul David Browne, 33, of no fixed address: admits being drunk and disorderly in Tesco in Lincoln on May 21 and drunk and disorderly in Sainsbury’s in Grantham on June 30. He was fined £160 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Browne also admitted stealing food from St Wulfram’s Church on July 20. He was made the subject of a community order including an alcohol treatment requirement, and told to pay £20 in compensation and a £90 victim surcharge.
