A dog which went missing more than two weeks ago has been found.

Jack, a four-year-old black and white cocker spaniel, was found in Mareham Lane just South of Spanby last night. He went missing on June 27 from his home in Ingoldsby.

Jack is a rescue dog and had only been with his new owners for a day when he went missing from the back garden.

Nicola Kebbell, of Spaniel Aid, told the Journal that Jack was “safe and well” and thanked people in the area for their help in looking for him.

Nicola said: “Jack was rehomed to a couple from Ingoldsby on Friday, June 26. Despite requests for updates via telephone and email nothing was heard until July 2 when we were informed that Jack had gone missing from the garden on June 27 at 9am.”

She said everybody at Spaniel Aid has been distressed by Jack’s disappearance which hadn’t been helped by the fact that it wasn’t reported for five days.
