KGGS show deserved a much better attendance

Have your say

On Saturday evening (17th September) I had the great privilege of attending a superb concert in Kesteven and Grantham Girl’s School by soprano Nicola Pulford and her guests.

Local girl and ex pupil of KGGS, Nicola is currently furthering her operatic studies at the highly prestigious International Academy of Voice in Cardiff.

Joined by two other Grantham girls, Hannah Coleman and Elaine Bishop, Nicola performed a wonderful selection of operatic favourites and songs from the West End musicals.

Local singer Douglas Gorin and a young KGGS pupil also performed. This young year 8 pupil was absolutely outstanding for one so young. This was a truly memorable evening, only slightly marred by the small numbers attending.

Those of us who did attend thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which included a free drink in the interval, and I would heartily recommend attendance at any future appearances to anyone who loves good music.

For future notice; Nicola will be performing at the Grantham Music Festival in March 2012.
