Kylie the chicken is ‘clucky, clucky, clucky’ to be reunited with Grantham owners

Kylie the chicken.
Kylie the chicken.

Thanks to Facebook a chicken has returned home to roost after its owners recognised it on the Journal website.

Roy Conder of Lodge Way contacted us after the chicken appeared in his back garden, hoping to find the owners.

Within a matter of minutes the owners had identified the bird as ‘Kylie’. RSPCA animal welfare officer Katie Burris said: “The power of Facebook! Love it or hate it... it works!”

However while claiming the lost fowl happened very quickly, catching her was another story.

Despite their best laid plans, Kylie was only caught yesterday morning, after two weeks in Mr Conder’s garden.

And it seems that like her namesake, Kylie the chicken is very lucky as she avoided the clutches of several local cats during her fortnight away.
