Lane reopens on A1 following accident at Grantham

An overturned car and caravan are causing long delays on the A1 southbound.

The accident happened at 7am near Great Ponton.

Emergency services including police, ambulance and fire crews are currently on scene.

Traffic officers are also on route. Police are advising people to avoid the area.

At 10am, AA Roadwatch said the delay was down to 24 minutes.

The lanes are now all re-opened but traffic is still heavy.
