Law firm to hold free dementia seminar in Grantham


A dementia awareness seminar will take place at The Kings Hotel, Grantham, on Thursday, January 22.

The event, from 8.30am-10.30am, features speakers covering the issue of recognising dementia, how to access funding for dementia care and the legal issues surrounding legal capacity associated with dementia.

Speakers include Dr Gonzalez who is a consultant neuropsychiatrist, Owain Wright who was the head of long-term care funding advice services within SAGA, and JMP Solicitors’ Stacey Jolly who specialises in later life legal services.

Simon Oates, operations manager at JMP Solicitors, said: “We are pleased to offer this free event featuring some of the leading speakers on dementia in Grantham.”

The event is open to anyone working in the care sector, associated industries and to the general public who may be facing these issues surrounding dementia and how to access help.
