Two men broke into a Grantham primary school yesterday and stole tools and lighting.

The break-in happened between 4.45pm and 5.45pm at Little Gonerby Primary School, Sandon Road, Grantham. Entry was forced to a set of rear doors of the newly built extension.

Two offenders were caught on CCTV on site around this time and were seen removing items from the school. The stolen items were initially stashed in the hedge line of Wndham Park behind the school directly opposite Hill Avenue.

Both offenders appear to have been male. One was wearing a blue top with a black hood, dark coloured trousers and trainers. The second was wearing a grey hooded top, grey trousers and trainers.

Items taken include boxes of commercial LED lighting and emergency lighting, a Makita power drill and a power pack.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around the school on Sunday, December 28, or who has any information about the burglary is asked to contact PC 1364 Jonathan Smyth by calling 101. Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
