Lincolnshire County Council election results Grantham South: Conservative candidate retains seat




Adam Stokes will continue to represent Grantham South on Lincolnshire County Council.

It was announced at the count this morning, that the Conservative candidate will retain the position.

He won the seat amid a challenge from four other candidates, Anne Gayfer (Green), Louis Stead (Ind), Lee

Steptoe (Lab) and Bruce Wells (Ind).

Coun Stokes said: "I'm obviously very delighted to be re-elected.

"Last time I had the smallest majority in Lincolnshire so to increase to 270, I am absolutely thrilled.

"I can't wait to get going and continue work for Grantham."

In the election there was a 26.9 per cent turn out with 2,212 ballot papers issued out of an electorate of 8,235.
