Lloyds Bank closes its Grantham branch after employee tests positive for Covid-19

A Grantham bank has closed after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

Lloyds Bank, on St Peter's Hill, has placed signs in its windows explaining the reasons behind the closure.

A bank spokesperson said the branch will remain closed while the premises is cleaned.

The spokesperson said: "We have temporarily closed the Lloyds Bank Grantham branch to allow for the building to be cleaned, after a colleague was diagnosed with Covid-19.

"Our priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues and customers.

"We will continue to follow Government guidance, and have taken the precautionary steps to advise some colleagues to self-isolate.

"We will re-open the branch at the appropriate time.”
