Lorry bursts tyre on bollard at roundabout

A lorry was brought to a standstill when one of its tyres was burst by a bollard at the roundabout next to Asda.

The lorry struck the bollard just before the Barrowby Road railway bridge at about 2.15pm this afternoon.

Traffic is still able to run smoothly. Police attended the incident.

A witness said the lorry struck one of the small silver bollards between the roundabout and the Asda garage slicing open the tyre.

There have been several incidents in recent months of lorries bursting tyres on the bollards and on the roundabout.
