Lorry driver arrested on A1 near Grantham on suspicion of being nearly three times over drink-drive limit




A lorry driver was arrested on suspicion of drink driving yesterday (Wednesday).

Police spotted a HGV swerving down the A1 just after 8am. The vehicle was stopped at South Witham and the driver was allegedly found to be nearly three times above the drink-drive limit.

The driver was arrested and remanded in custody.

Sergeant Dan McCormack tweeted: "A certain serious injury collision avoided #Fatal4 #Arrested."
