Lorry driver seriously injured in Grantham accident this morning

A lorry driver is reported to have been seriously injured in an accident on Barrowby Road, Grantham, near the railway bridge, this morning.

The accident happened just before 7am when there was a collision between the lorry and a silver VW Golf. The lorry driver was taken to Grantham hospital. The driver of the car is said not to have been seriously injured.

A section of the A52 was closed off and diversions are in place. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

If you witnessed the accident and have not yet spoken to police, please call 101 quoting incident number 42 of February 6.
