Madonna tribute helps raise thousands at Grantham fund-raising night

A Madonna tribute act helped to raise more than £4,000 at a charity fund-raising night.

Grantham Disabled Children Society and Willoughby School in Bourne, a special school for pupils with moderate, severe, profound and complex learning needs, held a joint charity fund-raising event in the Urban Hotel, last Friday.

The highlight of the evening was a performance by Jodie Jackson, dubbed ‘The UK’s No1 Miss Madonna Tribute Act. ‘

The event was a massive success and sold out.

The guests were treated to two sets by Jodie, who succeeded in getting the crowds rocking on the dance floor.

They were also entertained with a disco by Brain Degnan.

A raffle was held to boost funds further and the trustees of GDCS and Willoughby School staff would like to thank all local businesses that supported them by donating raffle prizes.

The grand total raised was £4,418, which will be divided equally between both groups.
