Man arrested after being on Grantham roof is denied bail

ONE of four men arrested after climbing onto the roofs of premises in Westgate last month appeared before Grantham magistrates this week.

The court heard how the other three men had been given conditional bail but David Neve’s application was turned down.

The defendant, who is 27 and lives in Grimsby Road, Cleethorpes, applied for bail with the conditions he lives at an address in Cleethorpes, is subject to an electronically tagged curfew order, has no contact with the co-accused and does not enter Lincolnshire other than to attend court.

However, magistrates rejected the bail application.

Neve is charged with three burglary offences at different premises in Westgate, Grantham, and affray.
